1500 SOUND ACADEMY PARTNERS WITH NFL MEDIA FOR SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

1500 Sound Academy students: Joshua LaFleur, Ja’Lal Thomas, Quaylin Cleveland, Andre Henry and Sam Tshibang composed for “Ode to South Central,” where Emmy-nominated actor Anthony Anderson delivered a moving tribute to the iconic neighborhood that hosted Super Bowl LVI. The students’ composition was accompanied by vocals from acclaimed vocalist Marsha Ambrosius.

The video premiered on NFL Network, and was directed by six-time Emmy Award Winner Julian Gooden.

Additionally, music for the local streetwear Rip N Repair’s NFL Origins Super Bowl LVI Collection launch collection was composed by 1500 Sound Academy student Sam Tshibangu.

The partnership between the NFL and 1500 Sound Academy, based in Inglewood, California and helmed by Grammy award winning James Fauntleroy, Larrance “Rance” Dopson and entrepreneur Twila True, launches with a full scholarship to the music school, and is committed to providing opportunities through NFL Media to bring aspiring students’ music to the football world and beyond.
