On-Campus Information
Q: Where are you located?
A: Our Los Angeles-based campus is located at 8729 Aviation Blvd. Suite 1 Inglewood, CA 90301. Our building is part of a complex, and we are the first building on the left when you turn into the complex.
Q: Where can I park on campus?
A:Although no onsite parking is available, our students use street parking or Uber/Lyft to 1500 Sound Academy at their convenience.
Q: Can I tour the campus?
We offer tours to prospective students interested in attending our school. Please schedule your campus tour here.
Q: Do you have any campuses outside of LA?
A: Yes, our partner campus is based in Taipei, Taiwan. Our Taiwan location address is No. 88, Yanchang Rd, Songshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan 110. Visit our Taiwanese campus website for more information.
Academic Questions
Q: How do I enroll?
A: Potential students can follow the enrollment process on our website. For our Music & Industry Fundamentals, DJ Fundamentals, and live online programs, you will need to upload a resume, links to work, social media pages and/or websites, a copy of your high school transcript and diploma, and pay a $50 application fee. There is also a phone interview and a short assessment. For our on-demand online courses, you can simply select All 6 Courses or Individual Course(s), add them to your cart, and begin learning from the courses once you’ve checked out.
Q: Do you offer courses online?
A: Yes. We offer live online programs (with synchronous online classes) and on-demand (asynchronous online classes) courses and programs. Please visit their respective program and course pages for details on each option.
Q: Do you offer your DJ classes online?
A: At this time, all DJ classes are held in-person only.
Q: What Will I Learn?
A: Students who enroll at 1500 Sound Academy enjoy a comprehensive and in-depth view of the music industry through the eyes of professional artists. We offer a variety of classes on every aspect of music-making, including:

Q: Will I be accepted if I just started making music recently?
A: 1500 Sound Academy accepts students at the beginning of their journey, as well as experienced students. Acceptance is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to admissions for more information.
Q: Do you have any guest lecturers?
A: Yes. In addition to world-class instructors, we host a lot of highly respected and well-known guest speakers and lecturers. You are going to learn from some of the biggest names in the business.
Q: Do you keep up with the latest trends in technology and the business?
A: It’s what we do. The music industry is always evolving, and we work hard to remain at the forefront of it. We utilize the latest equipment, follow current trends, and update our curriculum to keep up with changes in the industry to ensure that our students are always leading the charge and innovating new sounds.
Q: Do you hold special events?
A: We are always looking for ways to help our artists showcase their talent and put their names out there. As an in-person student, you’ll enjoy special events on campus and off and experience the excitement of the industry first-hand. You can also explore our virtual workshops and other offerings online.

Degrees & Certifications
Q: What degrees or certifications do you offer?
A: Upon successful completion of our program, students will receive a certificate of completion.
Q: Is 1500 Sound Academy an accredited institution?
A: The Academy is approved to operate by the Bureau of Private Post-Secondary Education, a division of the California Consumer Affairs Department. We offer certificates of completion for our programs. The Academy is not yet accredited by a national or regional accreditation body.
Administrative Questions
Q: Can I enroll as an international student?
A: Currently, we are not able to offer M-1 or F-1 Visas for our on-campus program or live online Program. It may be possible to attend on a "vacation visa." Visas are granted at the discretion of a student's home country. On-demand Online Courses can be enrolled virtually anywhere. Please reach out to admissions for help with your specific case.
Q: Will you accept transfer credits from other schools?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Do your credits transfer to other schools?
A: The Academy does have credit transfer agreements with specific institutions. Please reach out to our admissions office for information regarding the institutions we currently have agreements with.
Q: Do you offer loans?
A: We help connect students to Climb. Climb is a student lending creditor that provides loans to students that qualify. Reach out to our admissions office or learn more about Climb financing options on our website. We also offer a variety of scholarships to students who may qualify.
Q: Do you offer scholarships?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of scholarships to elevate artists and help them get their foot in the door. Reach out to admissions to see if you qualify.
Q: Are there payment plans?

Q: How much does it cost to attend 1500 Sound Academy?
A: All costs are based on the program you choose. Here are the most popular programs:
MUSIC & INDUSTRY FUNDAMENTALS ON-CAMPUS PROGRAM: $12,500 (Full Program/6 Courses) l $2,250 (Single Course)
MUSIC & INDUSTRY FUNDAMENTALS LIVE ONLINE PROGRAM: $8,640 (Full Program/6 Courses) l $1,800 (Single Course)
ON DEMAND: $3,000 (6 Course. Bundle) l $549 (Single Course)

Q: How long does the program last?
A: Our Music & Industry Fundamentals Program and our DJ Fundamentals Program both consist of six 1-month long classes. Our On-Demand courses allow you to learn at your own pace.
Q: Do you have equipment partnerships?
A: 1500 Sound Academy has partnerships with leading industry manufacturers who generously provide professional equipment and products that support our curriculum for students to use on-campus.
