Q: WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
A: We are located at 8729 Aviation Blvd. Inglewood, CA 90301. Our building is part of a complex, and we are the first building on the left when you turn into the complex.
Q: WHERE DO I PARK?
A: Parking is immediately to the left when you pull into the complex.
Q: HOW DO I ENROLL?
A: Potential students can follow the Enrollment process on the website. For our On-Campus and Live Online Programs, you will need to upload a resume, links to work, social media pages and/or websites, a copy of your high school transcript and diploma, and pay a small application fee. There is also a phone interview and a short assessment. For our On-Demand Online Courses, you can simply select All 6 Courses or Individual Course(s), add them to your cart, and begin learning from the courses once you’ve checked out.
Q: DO YOU GIVE TOURS OF THE FACILITY?
A: We do not give tours to the public. Our facility is a private facility and you must have an appointment to enter the building.
Q: DO YOU OFFER ONLINE CLASSES?
A: Yes. We offer Live Online (with synchronous online classes) and On-Demand Online (asynchronous online classes) courses and programs. Please visit their respective program and course pages for details on each option.
Q: DO YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?
A: Currently, we are not able to offer M-1 or F-1 Visas for On-Campus Program or Live Online Program. It may be possible to attend on a "vacation visa." Visas are granted at the discretion of a student's home country. On-Demand Online Courses can be enrolled virtually anywhere.
Q: DO YOU ACCEPT TRANSFER CREDITS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS?
A: No
Q: DO YOUR CREDITS TRANSFER TO OTHER SCHOOLS?
A: Transfer credits are always at the discretion of the host institution. If you wish to transfer 1500 Sound Academy credits to another institution, you should check with the institution to determine if they will accept the credits.
Q: WHAT DEGREES OR CERTIFICATES DO YOU OFFER?
A: Upon successful completion of our Program, students receive a certificate of completion.
Q: DO YOU OFFER LOANS?
A: No. The Academy does not qualify for student loans (Title IV).
Q: ARE THERE PAYMENT PLANS?
A: Students can pay for the entire program or monthly by each individual Course.
Q: CAN I BE ACCEPTED IF I JUST STARTED MAKING MUSIC?
A: 1500 Sound Academy accepts students at the beginning of their journey, as well as experienced students. Acceptance is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND THE ACADEMY?
A: The catalog contains tuition and materials costs.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM LAST?
A: We offer a comprehensive On-Campus Program that lasts six months. You are also free to sign up for individual classes through our On-Campus Program and Live Online Program. With our On-Demand Online Program, you work through our courses at your own pace.
Q: WHAT WILL I LEARN?
A: 1500 Sound Academy offers a variety of classes on many critical topics, including production, songwriting, recording, and mixing, as well as branding, studio etiquette, negotiating contracts, and more.
Q: DO YOU HAVE EQUIPMENT PARTNERSHIPS?
A: Yes. 1500 Sound Academy has partnerships with Fender and Roland. Students receive discounts on Fender equipment, and in-person students get to tour the Roland facility.
Q: DO YOU HAVE GUEST SPEAKERS?
A: Yes. In addition to world-class instructors, we host a lot of highly respected and well-known guest speakers. You are going to learn from some of the biggest names in the business.
Q: DO YOU KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGIES?
A: Absolutely. The music industry is always evolving, and we work hard to remain at the forefront of it. We utilize the latest equipment, follow current trends, and update our curriculum to keep up with changes in the industry to ensure that our students are always leading the charge and innovating new sounds.
Q: IS THE ACADEMY ACCREDITED?
A: The Academy is approved to operate by the Bureau of Private Post-secondary Education, a division of the California Consumer Affairs Department and offers certificates of completion for their programs. The Academy is not accredited by a national or regional accreditation body.
