PAVING THE WAY | THE INFLUENCE OF JOHN WOOTEN

NFL x 1500 Sound Academy

NFL Media and Emmy Award Winning Director, Rashad Floyd, is excited to be working with 1500 Sound Academy on a docuseries about the evolution of activism within players of color in the NFL and the remarkable journey that reflects the broader change in society and the sports world.

SUMMARY

This docuseries will shed light on the realities of being a Black athlete in the league by highlighting early pioneer John Wooten and how his efforts help change the landscape of the NFL forever. John Wooten’s voice and story will set the stage for other athletes’ stories to take the spotlight and illustrate the change that has happened over the last 60 years.

GOAL

We want to create a 60-second Afrobeat inspired track for the most inspiring, empowering, emotional and transcending visuals. Track requested to have a story arc (beginning, middle, end). **Selected track will have the opportunity to attend the premiere during Super Bowl LVIII week in Las Vegas, NV
